So it’s almost here!!! The free, fantastic online conference WriteOnCon! And it’s not too late to still register. While it’s focusing on YA/Kidlit, any writer is welcome at the conference and I see a lot of topics that would be applicable to anyone who writes.

They’ve posted the full schedule and it looks amazing! It’s going to take me two months to get through all of it. They also have a very active forum and the other members have all been really great. I posted a query for critique and got some fabulous comments.

Unfortunately, I don’t have a finished product right now, so I won’t be able to enter some of the contests. But if you have something YA/MG that’s ready to go, I’d highly recommend entering the Mega Query critique by Joanna Volpe. She’s an up and coming uber agent (one I’d LOVE to have myself!) and is offering quite a package if you’re luck enough to get chosen. But, my timing sucks as usual, so I won’t be able to submit. Sigh.

But they will also have live panels, workshops and other ways to interact with agents, editors and other authors. I know what I’ll be doing with my free time over the next few days! Hope to see you all there!
