I am so excited to be participating with dozens of other Young Adult Science Fiction authors in a newsletter campaign that starts tomorrow (the 13th)! Most of us — me included! — will be offering our YA sci-fi novels for FREE or a REDUCED PRICE tomorrow, Friday, March 13! (Ultraviolet Catastrophe will be on sale for the first time ever!) With all of the stuff I’ve been doing around the STAR THIEF release this month, it was an amazing and humbling surprise to get an email over the weekend informing me that ULTRAVIOLET CATASTROPHE had been nominated for a Best Indie Novel award at the online conference IndieReCon. I am incredibly grateful and humbled to be included in this list of amazing books and a huge thank you to whoever nominated me. I’d give you a big old squeeze if I knew who you were 🙂 (And it might be a creepily long hug, fair warning!) There are some other amazing books nominated, but if you liked UVC and wanted to vote (and tell your friends to vote) for ULTRAVIOLET CATASTROPHE I would so appreciate it! Happy Friday my gorgeous friends! Today is my last day of work for TWO WHOLE WEEKS! And because this makes me SO happy, I want to make YOU GUYS happy! So the fantastic Leigh Ann Kopans introduced me to the Wattpad website. I’d never heard of it before, but after poking around, I discovered it’s a really cool site where readers and writers can connect. Authors can post their stories, and readers can follow and comment. It seems like a great opportunity to reach a whole new group of people, so I’m pleased to announce I’ll be posting weekly chapters of Ultraviolet Catastrophe over there where you can read it for free! It has been an amazing couple of weeks since releasing Ultraviolet Catastrophe! I can’t even tell you how much fun it is to know people are out there reading your book! And it’s amazing to be able to keep track of sales numbers, to see what promos are working. To make changes on the fly! I think I’m kind of in love with self publishing! And with all of you! I can’t even believe that my little book has stayed in the top 20 of the Sci-Fi Cyberpunk category since it was released. I am in such shock. It’s been amazing. One of the most fun things was the blog tour put on by the ladies at Pen and Muse! They arranged some fun stops, and I got to meet some really fantastic bloggers. I so appreciate everyone who took the time to read UVC, review it, or let me ramble on their blog. And as part of the tour, we arranged a giveaway. And TODAY we get to announce the winner….. SO….
