For some reason this week has kicked my ass. I’ve gotten both writing and editing done, but I still feel like I haven’t made any progress! I’m going to blame Monday’s holiday for throwing me off. For a short week, I am *very* glad today is Friday!
It’s supposed to be rainy and humid here all weekend, so my goal is to get through another 100pgs of revisions. (I may be overly ambitious here, but hey, reach for the stars, right?)
But between pages, I’m pretty sure I’ll be needing a break. I’ve been eyeing a movie since I heard about it last year – Splice. I’m still not sure if I actually want to see it in the theaters. I’m a chicken and tend to scream at the stupidest things. But it’s a really interesting concept and has a creepy/cool main character, so I’m tempted. Plus Sarah Polley is in it, and I’ve always been a huge fan. I just need to figure out if I can get over the ick factor – those trailers just look wrong!
Here’s a summary:

So what plans do you guys have for the weekend? Any movies you’re dying to see?
Hi, Jamie! Lucky you to live so close to a theater. Given that my family lives in a small town in South Alabama, it takes approximately 75 miles to get to the nearest theater. (Downfall I know, but I still <3 the country life!)
And then there's the issue of finding a dependable baby-sitter for our 4 adventurous kiddos. Where is Nanny 911 when you need her?
But in answer to your question, if I could sweet-talk my hubby into going w/ me on a movie date, I'd beg to see Letter to Juliet – synopsis: When a young American girl (Amanda Seyfried from Mama Mia & Dear John) travels to the city of Verona, home of the star-crossed lover Juliet Capulet of Romeo and Juliet fame, she joins a group of volunteers who respond to letters to Juliet seeking advice about love….
Hope you have a great weekend! Tory
Ohhh! I wanted to see that one too! My other half won't be caught dead going to a chick flick like that, but one of my girlfriends is supposed to go with me (if *she* can find a babysitter for her kids! LOL)
Wow – 75 miles is a long way to drive! I Don't think I'll write a post complaining about my 30 minute commute to work after seeing that 😉
