Ever wish you had a wise friend with experience in the publishing/writing world who could give you advice? Ever get down and discouraged about your writing or the chances of actually getting published? Ever just need a pep talk or a word of encouragement? Then you need to be following Jody Hedlund!
Jody is a fellow Michigander, so I may have been partial to her to start with, but after being inspired and educated by so many of her posts, I knew she was a gem, no matter where she lived 🙂
She posts regularly on her blog – I have no idea how she comes up with such great topics or where she gets the time to write them all, but I am so grateful she does! On her site, Jody also has a huge list of articles for writers, all helpful and insightful. You could spend hours or days going through them all. And the best thing about them is her writing style – kind, informative and supportive. It really is like talking with an old friend.
Today’s Perfume: Clean – Shower Fresh
The quintessential soapy, fresh-from-the-shower clean scent is a soft and sexy musky floral, that’s not overwhelming or pretentious. This pure, clean fragrance blends natural notes of Lily of the Valley with lemon and mandarin orange.
Lemon, Mandarin, Orange, Jasmine, Lily of the Valley (Muguet), Orange Blossom, Sheer Woods, Musk.
My Thoughts: This is one of those perfumes I didn’t expect to like, but found myself sniffing all day. It has crazy staying power, and lasts forever. Which is both a good and bad thing. Good because it smells nice – soft, floral and clean. Bad because it makes me sneeze! It’s a soft skin scent – not overpowering at all and perfect for when you want people to think you just naturally smell good. Unfortunately, I won’t be buying a bottle for myself because of the sneezing problem, but I’d definitely recommend it for a nice, light summer scent. Even better, it’s available in a $20 rollerball if you want to check it out before committing!
