A Call for Reviewers

I just glanced at my calendar and my heart stopped.

Princess for Hire will be out in just over a month!!! AHHHH!!

*Begin Panic Attack*

I feel so unprepared for this! Originally it was supposed to be released May 1st, so I figured I had plenty of time to line up reviewers, find some guest blogging gigs, get the buzz going. But now…it’s only a few weeks away.  March 1st to be exact.

Breathe, Jamie, breathe!

So – I need your help:

– If anyone would like to review Princess for Hire on their blog, I will have a few reviewers copies to send out within the next week or so. My only requirement is that anyone who asks for a copy does an actual review. You can read the blurb (and a sample) here to see if it’s something you’d be interested in reading.

I would love to do a blog tour the week PfH is released. If anyone is interested, I can do interviews, guest posts, wash your dishes, whatever you want 🙂 I’m pretty flexible.

I’m so excited to be sharing this crazy ride with you all and I can’t wait for Princess for Hire to be out in the real world. Except…it scares me silly at the same time.  I suppose this is good practice for when that full length novel gets published, right???

So, question for you – How do you deal with the stress of putting your work out into the world?

  1. How exciting! (And understandably terrifying too.) Sounds like a really fun story from the blurb, and I love the character’s voice in the sample.

I know we only just “met” and you don’t know a lot about me, so I won’t be offended if you don’t take me up on it, but I’d be interested in doing a review of the story.

    • I would love if you reviewed it, Audrey! Thanks so much for the offer!

I will send a review copy within the next week or so as soon as I get them.

      • Great! Just let me know what information you need (maybe message me on Twitter).

  2. Hey Gillian (which will always be what I call you in my mind :p )

I’ll have to pass on Princess. Not that I didn’t enjoy it – I did – but since I read a couple version of it before the final, I’m not sure that I will be able to separate it all out of my mind! I still remember saying ‘I don’t like this scene, fix it” lol

    Good luck with the release!

    • LOL – I can’t blame you, Krista – I think you must have slogged through 6 different versions. You’re definitely not an impartial reviewer at this point in time 🙂 I probably shouldn’t have reviewed Harvest Moon either, but I couldn’t help it, LOL.
