I can’t remember where I first saw this, but Goodreads has a Reading Challenge every year. I usually try to keep track of the books I read, unfortunately I read really fast, and when I go through six books in a week, they tend to blur together. Goodreads has been fantastic at giving me a place to record what I’ve read and what I’ve thought about it – I love having all that in one place.
So, I decided that it would be a good idea to join the challenge this year. I usually don’t have a problem reading 50+ books a year, but since I’m starting to really get into revisions and drafting this spring, I figured I should give myself a goal to make sure I keep reading a priority as well. It’s super easy – all you do is log into your GR account and join the challenge. You can specify how many books you plan to read, as well as update your reading list from here as well. There’s even a widget you can add to your blog!
Looking at my poor, pathetic list, I’m definitley motivated to get moving on my reading for the month! I still have a long way to go to hit my goal for the year!
What about you guys? Anyone else doing the Reading Challenge? What are your goals for reading for the year?
And stay tuned for tomorrow when the fantastic Sophia is going to be here to talk about Prologues!!!
